Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tbsp red gel food coloring
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp milk
- 2 cups Milk Chocolate Blossoms, chopped
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350° F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, use electric mixer to cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 4-5 minutes. Add egg and mix again, about 1 minute. Add red food coloring and vanilla extract and mix until all ingredients are well combined.
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix on low speed until fully incorporated, about 2 minutes. Add milk and mix for 1 more minute on low speed. Fold in chopped Milk Chocolate Blossoms, reserving 1/2 cup for the next step.
- Use a cookie scoop to form 1 inch dough balls and place them 3 inches apart on a lined baking sheet. Lightly press remaining chopped Milk Chocolate Blossoms into each ball of dough.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until center of cookies look puffy. Allow to rest on the baking sheet for at least 5 minutes before moving to a cooling rack.
